Cruise Dates, Pricing and Availability CRUISE ITINERARY AND PORTS OF CALL
Day 2 This morning, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the area. This includes a stop at Fort Casey with a docent narrated tour of the old guns. Visit the historic lighthouse and learn about the lighthouse keeper's job while viewing the equipment. After lunch, some afternoon cruising to our anchorage. Day 3 We cast off during breakfast for a leisurely day of cruising the San Juan Islands. We'll transit scenic "Deception Pass" and into the heart of the 175 Island Archipelago. We meander throughout the islands until 1 p.m. or so, then stop at Friday Harbor. Shoppers depart. Visit the whale museum, stores or post your mail. Options abound in this friendly port. Later this afternoon we see some of the interior vistas of the island, with a stop at the alpaca ranch, followed by a visit to a local winery. We'll enjoy a taste of the island fare! Afterwards dinner is served pier side. Day 4 Today we cruise and sightsee in the morning. Port call at historic Roche Harbor, then visit an outer island. We offer a beach walk and intertidal interpretive discussion as well as kayaking for the more adventurous of the group. Maybe you'll spend an hour or so kayaking with one of the crew? We anchor out tonight in a quiet bay. Day 5 It's a leisurely departure and sumptuous brunch. Enjoy a quiet morning in the anchorage. Maybe a morning kayak? We weigh anchor around 11 a.m. to steam south, bound for a unique and special place. Did you know that the lifeblood of our Pacific Northwest includes our wonderful "King Salmon"? Today we learn about these salmon runs and efforts to bolster their numbers. We might see an actual "run" upstream at a local hatchery. Enjoy a private place that few venture to see. Watch for bald eagles that eagerly await the fish, and learn about their journey. Afterwards, tour an historic ship builders retreat and exclusive Pacific Northwest getaway, Rosario Resort. Our docent and host educates and entertains. Later today, view the sunset over the Strait of Juan de Fuca from the anchorage. Day 6 Today we visit wonderful Port Townsend, Washington. Established in 1851, this town will capture your seafaring spirit. Enjoy a guided sidewalk tour with insights and history of the area. You'll be thrilled by the nautical themes and Victorian architecture of this waterfront community. Free time after the tour for shoppers. We cruise during dinner for our anchorage. Day 7 Today we tour Seattle's waterways and waterfronts. Transit the Hiram Chittenden Locks. View the houseboats on the Ship Canal and Lake Union. You'll also get a tour of the luxurious waterfront mansions of Lake Washington — the home of Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, with others from the "Who's Who" of the Pacific Northwest. We'll enjoy a great day of cruising. Tonight we enjoy downtown Seattle. We'll stay at our downtown hotel. We'll visit the Space Needle for a view over the city. Relax tonight with time to shop, dine or relax before tomorrow's flight home. Day 8 Morning time in Seattle. Maybe you'll visit the Pike Place market today? Then off to the airport.
